For a museum of the neighborhood (el barrio), it is refreshing to see it take on pieces that display the issues and reactions to them experienced by Chicanos in the Southwest (though unfortunately they cannot have all the credit as the exhibition was organized by LACMA). It was not overly about the negative aspects, such as illegal immigration, but those that help to identify the Chicanos and their strength.
