You also seemed to change your tense part way through when you said " the exhibition seemed to be a breeding ground..." it should be seems. Otherwise your article was great! I really enjoyed how you played both sides of whether the exhibition is successful or not. You also clearly defined some of the pieces and their historical context, which I found interesting! Great job!erin e.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05567503939694566810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8466314672723988836.post-79328207191471448072011-12-09T08:01:07.343-08:002011-12-09T08:01:07.343-08:00I like your energetic start. This helps the reader see that All is a radical installation compared to his other works. I would take out some of the questions like, “But wasn’t that the point?”, and make them more direct statements. I would also bulk up the concluding paragraph a little. It might be important to include in the conclusion that he said this was his farewell to the art world. Good job summarizing such a big and overwhelming retrospective! I think every aspect of the show was covered. Just a few comments though, I think this piece would really benefit from discussing the use of the space more since you brought it up towards the end. When you talk about the "curatorial choice" to hang the works in this way, it would be nice to know if the artist had any hand in that (i remember it saying something about that on the plaque but I don't remember what).

Also, you say that it challenges the way work is shown but it doesn't just all hang at one level, so maybe go into that more.

xx!suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15951945180595380288noreply@blogger.com
